Design Inspiration
The Wassily Chair No B3 (1925), was in-spired by the shape of bicycle handlebars. The chair’s frame, made from polished, bent tubular steel. Taking one pre existing form and reapplying it in a new context was all it took to revolutionize design philosophy's world-wide. Breuer took this concept and applied it to a lot of his designs. For example his “b9 Nesting Tables” (1926) a modular table set for living spaces, which serves as another source of inspiration. Breuer's use of bicycle components inspired me to follow modern day carbon-fiber bikes and their design trends. which eventually I used as my key aesthetic principle. Taking Breuer's Philosophy and applying it to a modern day Context
